Director Karen Hardee co-authors new chapter in Disease Control Priorities, 3rd Ed.
Karen Hardee, Director of the Evidence Project, co-authored Chapter 6: Interventions to Improve Reproductive Health in the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health volume of the recently released Disease Control Priorities, 3rd edition, along with John Stover, Bella Ganatra, Claudia García Moreno, and Susan Horton. Building on the previous editions, this chapter outlines the most up-to-date research and knowledge in four critical areas of intervention in reproductive health – family planning, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, unsafe abortion, and violence against women. As the authors note in their forward, “Significant progress in improving reproductive health occurred in some areas, but much remains to be done…”
