Family Planning/Reproductive Health Training Manual for Private Sector Physicians

As part of ensuring the availability and improving the quality of family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) services delivered by private sector physicians for youth in Egypt, this curriculum was developed to be used for a 5-day training course.

This curriculum provides private sector physicians with up-to-date scientific information regarding various FP/RH topics that are specifically concerned with young people such as premarital counseling, postponing first births and birth spacing. It also addresses certain topics that aren’t covered during trainings for private sector physicians such as counseling, infection control and how to address the various misconceptions regarding FP rampant in our communities.

The methods available in the private sector are highlighted in this curriculum as well as a practical how-to guide to be used on models that is then applied during a one-day field visit to clinics.
